Careful handling of the raw water should lead to reduce the waste water quantities. Water management is a tool, which helps at the individual process, at the respective machine and at the appropriate process owner. Potential water savings must be individualized and require actions to be converted in meaningful economic and ecological possibilities.
A continuous improvement of the environmental performance is guaranteed by the integration into an environmental management system. Thereby the commitment of the highest management is of the essence, when defining environmental targets, which refer to concrete projects.
This is the starting point to develop an environmental program:
planned actions will be fixed with budgets in order to achieve objectives within the foreseen timing .


In accordance with environmental targets are, among other reductions:

  • fresh water use
  • oxygen-living substances in the waste water
  • global oxygen and electricity consumption
  • carbon dioxide generation
  • other emissions

    As an example, the following tasks are included in an industrial environmental program:
  • measuring all variables,
  • establishing mass and energy balances,
  • setting targets
  • process units acquisitions for recycling purposes,
  • reuse the water several times
  • testing for effectiveness of implemented measures.
